What we collect and why

When you register for Stir Trek, we collect things like your name, email, and any other details you share with us during registration. We use third-party party ticketing platforms so we don’t ever see or store your credit card details. We use what you give us to run the event, keep in touch with you, and make Stir Trek better every year for attendees, sponsors, and speakers.

Sharing with sponsors

Sponsors cover a large portion of Stir Trek’s costs. Meeting attendees is the most valuable part of the event for sponsors, so we may share your name and email with sponsors after the event so they can follow up. That’s it. No phone numbers, no addresses, nothing else. You’ll have a chance to opt out before we share anything.

We may also share aggregated, anonymized demographic info with partners, speakers, or attendees. For example, it’s often helpful to know that “X% of attendees work in front end web development” and things like that.

SMS communication

If you give us your phone number, you may get text messages from Stir Trek organizers about things like:

• Event updates and logistics
• Replies when you contact us with questions or issues
• Follow-ups on session feedback

We won’t send you promotional messages, and we won’t share your number with sponsors or anyone else.

Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. You can also reply STOP to opt out of future messages.
