Session!

Do you really need a community?

Community is becoming a buzzword for companies, but despite some buy-in, there's an accumulation of quiet slacks, discords, and other "community" spaces. The excitement to join the latest trend jumps right past the question of whether or not we even need another community in tech. Before starting a new community, there should be a deliberate process of community discovery, mission-building, and company buy-in. This talk will go through that process before making the decision to start a community.
