Data Lakehouse Demystified
Whatever data strategy you're implementing, your next data warehouse should be a lakehouse. Even Bill Inmon, the father of data warehousing, has adopted the lakehouse as the architecture of the future. By combining the best features of a data lake with a data warehouse, adding in distributed computing and open formats and protocols, a data lakehouse supports traditional BI but is especially well suited for artificial intelligence applications. There are patterns for success common to all platforms, whether you are using AWS services, MS Fabric, Databricks, or GCP. In this session we'll define a a data lakehouse, examine the logical architecture, then look at how you implement a physical architecture. Discussion will include pointers to preparing your data career for a lakehouse-centric world.
